Mosaic™ is a new scab-resistant selection out of the CIV breeding program in Italy. It can be picked green like Granny Smith, or if you let it hang, it will turn solid yellow and will hang very late into the season while still maintaining its firmness. It consistently produces high yields, and it stores well, even in regular cold storage. Late-season harvested Mosaic™  have maintained their firmness through March in regular cold storage. Important note: Mosaic™ fruit can develop a strong blush on the sun-exposed side, especially in years with cooler temperatures. Royalty: $1.75/tree

NectaFestis a new release from the USDA-ARS program in Kearneysville, West Virginia. It is an early-season selection, harvesting just after Easternglo. The fruit is very high quality for an early-season nectarine, exhibiting a very nice flavor profile. The tree is very grower friendly. This variety was placed in a few grower trials several years ago, and we have received very positive feedback regarding its performance. Royalty: $1.75/tree

Nittany

Introduced by the Pennsylvania State University, Nittany is a York Imperial-type apple possessing outstanding processing characteristics. Its flavor and attractive orange-red color also give it good fresh market potential. Flesh oxidizes very slowly and imparts a highly desirable yellow color to processed products. Nittany needs to be aggressively thinned to avoid biennial bearing.

An exciting release that originated from an Italian breeding program, Orion™ is an early season flat peach that ripens about 2 weeks before Redhaven.  It is white-fleshed with bright scrarlet skin and has excellent flavor.  The fruit is firm, medium in size and has little to no stem pull issues.  The tree is highly productive and should be thinned accordingly. Pink Lady® (Cripps Pink Cltv.)

Attractive pink blush over a yellow background color, this Golden Delicious x Lady Williams cross is suggested for warmer Mid-Atlantic growing regions. The fruit is medium to large, crisp with a sweet-tart flavor and a long storage life. Pink Lady® develops full flavor after four weeks in storage. It requires only 400 chill hours and it matures 200-215 days after bloom. Because of the low chilling requirement and the naturally high vigor of this variety, it may be planted in a range of sites, including warm climates and weak soils. Summer pruning, low fertility and low vigor rootstocks are highly recommended. Pink Lady® matures November 10 in south-central Pennsylvania. Royalty: $1.25/tree
